Privacy Policy for FoxBlocks

Last updated: October 13, 2026

FoxBlocks is a Chrome extension published by Fox Business Services. It blocks ads, trackers, popups, and unsolicited downloads locally in your browser. This policy describes how FoxBlocks handles user data.

How blocking works

To block ads and trackers, FoxBlocks reads page content and network requests on the pages you visit. All blocking decisions happen on your device. FoxBlocks periodically downloads community filter lists (EasyList, EasyPrivacy, AdGuard, and uBlock Origin lists) to stay up to date; these are plain downloads of public list files — your browsing history and the pages you visit are not attached to those requests.

Data stored on your device

FoxBlocks stores the following locally in your browser only. None of it is transmitted to us or to any third party:

Optional email signup

The welcome page offers an optional signup for filter updates and new features. If you enter your email and click Sign up, only the email address is stored — locally on your device. In this version it is transmitted nowhere; no backend is connected. Choosing Skip collects nothing.

Data sharing

FoxBlocks does not sell, share, or transmit your data to anyone. There is no analytics, no tracking, and no account system.

Removing the extension

Removing FoxBlocks removes its blocking rules, scripts, alarms, session state, and stored data. It does not install system services, proxies, VPNs, certificates, drivers, scheduled tasks, or startup items.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL, and the extension's Chrome Web Store listing will be updated to reflect any new data practices before they take effect.
